Sunday June 28th

What a good day!  I was up until about 11 pm finishing up my chart of my daily steps to guarantee my accomplishment of my goal.  It was pretty fun charting out my progression and to see just how easy it is to look at things a day at a time.

Sunday went really smooth with my eating.  I am proud of myself for not splurging on things.

Meals

8 am Health Shake

11 am Efusjon Drink

2 pm Pasta salad with 1 ½ bratwurst from Saturday’s BBQ

4:30 pm Family Dinner (A few pieces of breaded chicken, macaroni dish serving, small amount of jello with fruit, serving of Green Beans)

7 pm Beats

10 pm Efusjon

We just got back this morning from our Hike to timp cave where I committed to giving up Soda Pop for the next 90 days and Becki gave up brownies.  What a nice workout!

Saturday, June 27th

I am so proud of myself (and of Becki)! We made it through the weekend without going out to eat once! It was awesome! We started off the day taking the kids and going on a short hike up to Bridal Veil falls. Becki's sisters and a few neices and nephews came up as well. We had a ton of fun and hiked up with the kids on our backs to the bottom of the waterfalls (the furthest you are allowed to go). The kids really enjoyed it.

We then came back home, accomplished some tasks, and then headed out to the SCERA pool. We had the kids out there for about 3 hours. Again, we had a blast. We then came home and I mowed our lawn and trimmed as well. It was a very active day, and I was exhausted by the evening time. One of our little nephews turned to us and said, "This is the best day of my life!" It was really cute!

I attribute the success of the day to planning ahead and staying active. Becki is such a great supporter since we are both on the same page when it comes to our goals and supporting each other in obtaining and acheiving the daily things we want to do to inch ourselves closer to the prize.

I started my chart for the rest of our coaching. I was able to get pretty far in a short period of time. Becca gave me a really good idea to measure my "muscle machine"-ness. I am going to have a couple milestones throughout the training for lifting a certain amount of weight on specific lifts. Watch out weight room!

Meals for the day
9 am Raisins, and nuts mix while hiking to the falls.
11:30 am Efusjon Health Drink
2 pm Banana Health Shake
4 pm Efusjon Health Drink
8 pm BBQ with Becki's sisters (beats, 1 hamburger, a couple bratwurst, macaroni salad-just a small portion, and a little Kool-Aid).

The BBQ lasted for a while so I count that as two meals. We sat out on the deck and just enjoyed the evening. I also was trying not to nod off. I was so tired!

By the end of the week I felt totally spent...in a good way. My muscles were tired and I really felt like I had accomplished a great deal by working out everyday and accomplishing all of my momentum activities.

Friday, June 26th - Day 8

Friday was a really good day. We had a cousin get married so we had to rearrange our schedule from the daily grind. I talked to Alex this week and we chatted about how important it will be for me to plan ahead for the weekend. This really helped out! I had planned ahead and had no problem keeping to my 6 meal goal without splurging. My wife was awesome as well and was a huge support. When we were done with the wedding we could easily have gone out and grabbed a bite to eat...but, no! She quickly decided that we could just hold on until we got home...which we did.

I had my phone call with my coach, Becca, today. I really like the way that Outlook is set up. There are some really awesome coaches and facilitators. They truly amaze me and I respect them a ton. Becca is no exception! She is awesome! We talked about the choice process and how important it is to really learn the process on changing our beliefs. I struggled last week with creating momentum activities after I got through the choice process. I didn't give myself enough time to really sit and meditate on what I was doing. So, this week is going to be different. I have already chosen the results that I want to change, thanks to Becca's help.

Meals for Friday

8 am 2 Omellets with lite cheese and a little turkey
11 am Efusjon Energy Drink
1 pm Turkey sandwhich on whole wheat bread, plus an apple
4 pm Efusjon Energy Drink
7 pm Beats, chicken paprika with wheat noodles
10 pm Efusjon Energy Drink

I went on a 2 mile jog this morning, which felt fantastic! It was nonstop with a sprint at the end. I also went and shot hoops for about 20 minutes in the afternoon at the Rec center while Becki did some cardio around the track with the kids. I then took the kids and walked about 1 and a half miles around the track.

Friday was a great day!

Thursday, June 25th

Yesterday's training about Time Traveling, or envisioning ourselves at day 90 (September 17th) was awesome! It was sweet talking as if I had already accomplished my goal and was 230 lbs and living a lifestyle that was healthy and easy to maintain. I was very proud of myself, and I am very proud of myself as well for taking the steps necessary to get me to where I am today and propelling me into what I will become in the future.
The story of the acrobats also hit home for me. I have always been a fan of Zig Ziglar and one of the principals he teaches goes hand in hand with the idea of "jumping the tree." He talks about a jumping insect, I don't remember which insect exactly. Anyway, this insect can jump higher than a foot. But if you put it in a jar and cover the jar it will keep jumping and hitting the lid, but eventually it jumps and stops hitting the lid. You take it out of the jar and now it can only go as high as it was going in the jar, just below the lid. Zig relates this to the way we let ourselves and others put a ceiling on our growth which programs us to only reach so high, when in reality, we can go far beyond that ceiling point. But, we beat ourselves up and start believing our self-doubts and the doubts that others express. We live up to our expectations.

Jumping the tree has the opposite effect. By taking our goals and breaking them up into focusing on what we need to do today we can continually jump higher and higher until finally we are reaching our goal and exceeding it in most cases. But instead of imagining the transformation as one large leap, we see it as a ton of small steps and jumps. We can guarantee our success with our goals by simplifying the process this way and not letting ourselves get overwhelmed at the main objective of our goals.
Anyway, things were good yesterday. I started off my day with a killer workout. Unfortunately Becki wasn't able to come with me in the morning because we didn't have a babysitter. But, I was proud of myself for being able to push myself as if she was there. She is an awesome supporter and really pushes me to go beyond what I normally would do. I even ran the 3 ladders at the end of my workout, which she decided to add to our workouts. Almost puked again, but felt incredible...felt like I really worked out!
I also did 9 push up and 45 sit ups to start the day. It felt great!
Meals:
7 am Apple
10:30 am Efusjon Acai Berry Drink
1 pm Meal over at Noah's (Salad, chicken, beef, and mashed potatoes). Good portions.
3 pm Efusjon Drink
6 pm Becki brought home some food from young woman's activity (chicken strips, beef strips, beans). I gave my roll to Becki and my brownie to Brennan.
9 pm Efusjon drink.

Day 8

Wednesday was a great day!  We started the day off with another fantastic hike up the Timp Cave trail.  We made it there in what felt like better time and it was a little easier than Monday’s hike.  Becki really was gungho and is a fantastic supporter.  We had the kids with us, as usual.  We also decided to start a new tradition once we reach the top.  We decided to give away something every time.  We declare it to each other as we touch the “special rock” (you’d have to see it to understand).  I gave up “cookies” for the 90 day challenge.

Meal

7 am Chocolate Isagenix drink

11 am Winger’s meal with family (saying goodbye to Ashley) Omlette with dinner potatoes, 1 sausage link, ham with omlette, peppers, and mushroom

1 pm Efusjon Energy Drink

4 pm Fruit

7 pm Tacos on Wheat tortilla

10 pm Efusjon Drink

Day 9

Hey everyone! It's day 9 of my Outlook challenge and life is turning into a piece of cake! Metaphorically speaking of course ;)

I don't know what clicked, but something happened to me the other night when I left my friend's house and headed home. We had just finished watching the movie 21 with Kate Bosworth and Jim Sturgess. I know it was just a movie but the character development in that film got me thinking about my own life and experiences. I realized that my journey to become Alex "High Roller" Ford is not unlike the protagonist of 21. He starts off so meek, nervous, and underconfident. He tries so hard just to fit in and always seems to come up short. Then, as the movie progresses his character opens up and opportunities present themselves to him.

I can sum up my life over the past few days they way Sturgess sums up his experience making it big in Vegas. "For the first time in my life the world was making itself easy for me."

I don't know how else to describe it. The feeling of overwhelming confidence in myself is something I have never experienced in this way. Having the knowledge that I can overcome ANY obstacle is priceless! I slipped on my diet a bit yesterday, but it was amazing! Instead of beating myself up over my mistake I smiled at myself in the mirror and forgave myself. I forgave myself! That was something I have never done before. It's also the reason why I am in such a great mood today.

I have accomplished many of my momentum activities and conquered another choice process. Today brought on the desire for another momentum activity though. I remember last year when I began my journey of self-improvement, the things I had to overcome. One of those things was getting over the pushiness of other people. I had to overcome the opinions of others and live for myself. It was only when I was able to love myself for me that I was able to share it with others. The problem comes in sharing too much. It is easy to forget that while I have come a long way in my life, not everybody wants to Hear about it.

It's so tempting to share what I've learned with anyone that comes to me with a problem that I know could solve it by undergoing the same things I have with Outlook Development. I have to remember that everyone's journey is different and they will travel it in their own time and on their own terms.

What a great START to week #2

We woke up early Monday morning to go for our weekly, Monday hike up to Timp Cave with the kids packed on our backs.  Wow!  That really kicked my butt!  I carried Brennan all the way to the top (first time this year) and it felt great!  It was a very nice start to the week.

I weighed in yesterday and I am at 280 lbs.  So, in total I have lost 10 lbs!  I know that if I would have finished last week off well I could have lost another 5 lbs.  This week I am 100% committed to finishing off the week well so that when I weigh in the scale will work in my favor.

I also started the day off with 6 push ups and 30 sit ups.  I am really liking this goal.  It is a quick momentum booster to start my day.

My meals for yesterday were as follows:

7 am chocolate Isagenix shake at mouth of Timp Cave

10 am Acai Berry Energy drink

12 pm chicken salad

3 pm Cantelope

6 pm Rice and gravy with Hamburger Patty and Corn

9 pm Acai Berry Energy Drink

I am feeling more energy and accomplishing a little more each day.  Things are really going well!

Made it through the first weekend

So, I know that the weekends are going to be challenging for me.  I spoke with Alex this morning and I have figured that I would benefit greatly from having a PLAN in place for Saturday and Sunday.  I will have all meals planned out from here on out!

Sunday was a good day.  It was my little sister’s farewell.  So, we spent most of the day up in Highland with the family.  It was really good to see everyone and to share with them my goal.  It was really hard to eat right all day since there were some really tempting offerings surrounding us.  My mom always outdoes herself and over plans meals.

I am proud of myself though.  I didn’t just eat myself silly, like I would have in the past.  Instead, I was able to stay in control and not splurge out of control.  Even though it wasn’t what I had hoped for, I am happy with the result.  I am going to do better now that I will have a plan.

Meals for Sunday:

8 am Apex Meal replacement shake

11 am Efusjon Acai Berry drink

12:30 pm Cinnamon Rolls (5) *Dooh

2:30 pm chicken casserole serving, chips and salsa, fruit, veggies, olives, rolls, desert

5 pm Cinnamon Roll

8 pm Efusjon Acai Berry Drink

Not the best eating day, but it could have been a lot worse!

Everything else went well.  I started my choice process.  I am about halfway through.  Looking forward to a GREAT week!

Saturday

Well, I know the weekends are going to bring a challenge, but the 90 day challenge will also give me an opportunity to beat the weekends! I feel pretty good about our first Saturday. I’m sure having a spouse that is also doing the challenge makes it a little easier to stay on track since we can support each other on the weekends.

Meals

7 am Efusjon Acai Berry Energy Drink

10 am Orange Juice and Small Yogurt

1 pm Café Rio Homemade salads (rice, black beans, wheat tortilla, house dressing, chicken)

4 pm Efusjon Acai Berry Energy Drink

7 pm Subway 12” Cold Cut Trio with Tons of Veggies and a chocolate chip cookie.

10 pm Watermelon

Everything else is on track. We were not able to work out today at the gym. We were able to get a lot done around the house, though, so that next week we can get things done.

Becki and I had a talk about this week’s principal: Intention. It is 100% Intention that makes or breaks our accomplishing our goals. I am 100% committed to this goal, and at the beginning of September I will be a lean, mean 220 lb muscle machine! You can count on it! I know I can do it, and I know I have an amazing support behind me to help me along the way. Although this is just week 1, I am excited to learn the system that Outlook Development has developed for us, and I am psyched to apply it throughout the rest of my life and become the man I know I have potential of becoming.

I feel empowered right now. I feel like I have been given some tools that are perfect for the job at hand. In the past, I feel like I have been trying to use a wrench for a job that required a hammer. It just feels like the Outlook program empowers the individual with the precise tools to accomplish amazing things!

I have been trying to lose weight for years. I tried Atkins, Body 4 Life, dummy proof diets, and other things. All of which I hit a wall. I don’t feel like this program is going to do that for me. I feel like I am learning that I am capable of creating a great, healthy lifestyle that can be sustained for the rest of my life.

I really can’t believe that I have nearly reached 300 lbs! More than that, I can’t believe that I have let myself go so long with eating just about anything, not working out, and not really caring. When I look at pictures from this past Holiday Season I admit I have the urge of ripping them up and destroying the evidence. Something I actually did with some of my cherished mission pictures because I couldn’t stand seeing myself look so indulgent and unhealthy. Fortunately, it was only a couple of pictures…I just didn’t take many pictures during that short time.

Anyway, things are going to be different this time. They already are! I AM A LEAN MEAN 220 LB MUSCLE MACHINE! It feels amazing to envision how that will feel. I have lacked a lot of umphh.. and energy that I know I possess, and just thinking about this goal adds energy and a little somethin’, somethin’ to my step. I have posted pictures of me when I use to be a lean mean 220 lb muscle machine. It is going to be AWESOME comparing pictures of me in September to pictures of me right now. A total transformation!

Day 3 July 19, 2008

Yesterday was a good day.  I had my first coaching session with Becca that went really well.  I am really impressed with her and I know that I am going to get a lot out of that relationship and the support that she offers.  One really important thing that I took away from the coaching yesterday was the importance of Choice Processes and working on those as a priority throughout the 90 days.  Becca helped me come up with a Choice Process to work on for this week.  It is that I am capable of delegating responsibilities with work, but if things are not done I just use my own time and do the task myself, which leads to frustration for me and whoever was suppose to do the task.  I know, a lot to spit out, but something that has been bothering me.

My meals for yesterday were as follows:

8 am Isagenix Shake
10 am Efusjon Acai berry drink
1 pm Olive Garden - Soup and Salad and breadsticks*  Ate a ton of salad, and could have eased up on the breadsticks, but lets face it, they are irresistable!  :)
4 pm leftovers from yesterday's dinner (pork)
7 Wendy's Spicy chicken sandwhich and ceasar salad
10 pm Efusjon Acai Berry Drink

Although we ate out twice, I can positively say that I am happy with the restraint and the choices I made.  Great accomplishment!

Everything else is going well and I am accomplishing a ton!

Day 2 Entry

Things went really well today. Alex came over to my house and spoke with Becki and I about some website ideas that we have been playing with, and we were really impressed with his portfolio and the work he is capable of doing. He sure has great potential with his skills and passion.

Well, I accomplished all of the momentum tasks for yesterday as follows:

1. Took time to look at vision board and visualize the new me.
2. Didn't announce it to anybody. 2/5
3. Made entry yesterday at nearly the exact moment Alex did! Talk about Synergy!
4. Did 2 push ups and 10 sit ups.
5. Meal Schedule:
1-Two omlette's with lite cheese. 7 am
2-Acai Berry health drink. Efusjon. 11 am
3-Salad with chicken chunks, soy bean, almond slices, crasins, lite parmesan cheese, and Asian Spritz dressing. 1:30 pm
4-Acai berry health drink. Efusjon. 5 pm
5 & 6-Cafe Rio, homemade style salads with rice, black beans, pulled pork, and wheat tortilla shell with Cafe Rio dressing. 7 pm & a small amount at 8:30 pm

Right now I am feeling great! Becki and I did our VAK activity on our Team Goal, which is:

WE ARE FINANCIALLY SELF-DISCIPLINED WITH AN EXCESS OF $40,000 IN OUR SAVINGS ACCOUNT.

I'm still upbeat and excited about the changes and accomplishments that I am experiencing and will experience with my physique and monetarily. Go WEBB TEAM!

Day 2

Yesterday was a bad start. I lost my steam half way through the day. I did not accomplish everything I had planned ti accomplish yesterday. However, I did organize a plan of attack for today and going forward. All I needed was a little inspiration. Funny--- how inspiration always seems to come in the middle of the night when you are too tired to act on it.

I'll tell you what it did though; it helped me get out of bed this morning with energy and passion. It helped me to feel happy and confident in the morning. Today is going to be an amazing day and both my life and my business is going to benefit greatly because of it.

I even have a fun idea for the 90th day of this challenge that I don't want to reveal until that day. I can't wait to look in the mirror that morning and see the me that I really want to be. My journey to where I am today has been so amazing, but the 90 days to come will blow the doors off my life and build a newer, happier, and more confident successful bachelor.

- Alex

Day 1 Entry

Now that day 1 has come and gone Alex and I have had the opportunity to start doing our “buddy” calls. The first call we had yesterday was very successful! I feel fortunate to have Alex as my buddy and feel like we compliment each other really well. I am excited to watch him become the successful bachelor he was born to be.

Well, we finished putting together our first 5 momentum activities for this week. Mine are as follows:

Post my goal affirmation. I have posted it in three places so far (bathroom mirror, bedroom mirror, and in my office)

  1. Declare to 5 people what I will be on September 1st. I have declared it to Dallan (my good friend), and Ryan (my mentor)
  2. Start a daily journal of our 90 journey. Alex and I started this blog as our journal entries. Works great!
  3. Do 1 push up for every day of challenge and 5 sit ups for everyday of challenge. Did 1 and 5 yesterday, and 2 and 10 this morning.
  4. Eat 6 small meals per day. Here is my meals for yesterday
    1. Chocolate shake meal replacement after morning hike 8 am
    2. Efusjon health energy drink 11 am
    3. Salad with chicken, almond slices, little cheese, crasins, soy bean, little bacon bits, and Asian sprtiz dressing 1:30 pm
    4. Apple 4 pm
    5. Salad with soy bean, Asian dressing, almond slices, crasins, and chicken with spaghetti squash spaghetti with homemade sauce and a piece of chicken 7 pm
    6. Efusjon health energy drink 10 pm

I feel great and feel like I have a lot more energy already! Momentum is building and I can vision what I will be on September 1st.

The beginning...

Today is day 1 of a 90 day challenge I am undertaking through Outlook Development. This challenge is likely the biggest undertaking of my entire life. I, along with my buddy Chris, will be uprooting old belief systems and replacing them with new customized belief systems that will be conducive to our success. My goal is to build my company (Referral NetworX) to such amazing heights that I am personally taking home $10,000 every single month. That is the magic number that would allow me to live my dream lifestyle. By the end of the 90 days I will be the spitting image of a successful bachelor, a high roller, but most importantly I will emanate energy and share that energy with everyone I come into contact with. I want to live the good life; I want to tip with twenty dollar bills without batting an eye. I want to have the means to be the generous person I want to be.

I am a successful bachelor.

- Alex

Ready, set...

June 17. 2009: Day 1 of the 90 challenge that is going to change my life. I am excited about what this experience is going to do for me. So far I have seen some great results, and I know that the system we have in place is going to ROCK! My buddy, Alex, is a fantastic guy and I really think we are going to become great friends through this process. I look forward to that!
